With over 6 years of developing software and websites, I understand that following current knowledge-based websites, trends, articles and news are the best methods to expand and grow in development technologies. It is always important to keep up-to-date for so many reasons including:

  • Improve skills
  • Update on Bug Fixes
  • Current Design pattern or creations
  • Be up to date with modern technologies
  • News on current security issues or treats.

During the last few years, I have implemented, tested and modified codes with various structures while keeping the same programming principles: commenting on code and considering security risks within programs or databases.

I have personally managed the web/software development of small, medium and large projects, using Waterfall and Agile methodologies from start to completion of projects. This included responsibilities such as systems analysis; systems design; programming; testing; data administration; and ensuring that documentation exists for supported systems and can be followed by others. I also ensure that any changes are thoroughly tested to minimize the impact on the live environment.

So, why web design? I developed a passion for programming in the year 2005 when website developments were limited to a modern resource (Technologies), I was fascinated by how websites were created with such magnificent looks and functionality.

Design knowledge of Usability and Accessibility: Human Interaction design is extremely important; using heuristics methodologies to analyze designs and software to achieve the best result. Allowing a software’s/application’s design or functionality to be usable by all users (disable or not). In essence, getting the best result with users and creating a design that allows users to find information easily within an application.

Educational background: With the passion founded in 2005, I went on to get a professional qualification in Website Design and a Bachelors degree in Applied Computing.

Where do you envision yourself in 5 years? I see myself working for a company that has the drive to succeed and competes in the IT industry. I hope to still be keeping up to date with modern technologies and will have developed even further as a person and developer.
